Diana Yee is an advertising Film Director working internationally for a diverse range of products and clients.
Says Yee:
"I love telling stories with a human touch. Be it with babies, beauties and life in general, my signature style combines emotive performance with elegant visuals to communicate an idea in a heartfelt way."
Her latest project is "Behind the Door" where girls dream of ballerinas, beautiful dresses and boys.
A short fashion film for designer Sally Smith.
"The Fashion Video is the new genre for fashion designers... created mainly for web, online and in-store.
With a tiny crew, limited resources and abundance of enthusiasm, it was shot over a couple of days before Xmas 2011, with a couple of Canon 5D's in the designer's Paddington studio and surroundings.
As well as a range of clothes, Sally Smith wanted to showcase the beauty of her studio and surroundings where she her collections are shown. All talent are fresh newcomers."
"The whole project was quite organic. It came out of a conversation about how to be different in a tough retail fashion environment, and, being aware of this growing new trend of arty films for fashion houses by filmmakers, and photographers who are into film.. but adding the element of story or narrative to fashion imagery."
Diana adds that the project was filmed entirely in available light- not one blondie or softbox!
Holiday Sidewinder created the music after seeing the roughcut. Completed in a single take.
"I like the rawness of her voice and music, which is suited to the idea and pics."

Diana spent the earlier part of her career in advertising agencies in NZ and Australia, as an Art and Creative for the big companies, O&M, JWT, Lowe, and a few local Sydney agencies. Working on a diverse range of products and clients (again) including Unilever, P&G, Nestle, Kelloggs, De Beers, J&J, Colgate Palmolive was great preparation for life as a Director for the same clients and more, on beauty, fashion and lifestyle brands.
Based in Sydney and NZ and available freelance for projects on any scale and every region.
