A native of Sydney, he originally studied Cinematography and Editing at the Australian Film ,Television and Radio school.
After a time of working in Television first as camera assistant, then shooting magazine TV, Steve freelanced , shooting Music Video and Documentary projects. Concurrently camera assisting on TV commercials and Feature Films.
Steve’s job offers became 2nd Unit then Main Unit on Feature Film and TV Mini Series as Director of Photography.
Since then he has shot all over the world compiling credits in all genres on over 30 feature length films for Cinema and TV, hundreds of TVC’s and Music Videos, many award winning short films and over 50 hours of Episodic Film TV Drama .
Steve has won numerous Photographic awards and ACS awards for his art and been nominated for both AFI and Emmy Awards.
He holds both Australian and British passports.
