DTFX is a Sydney based Special Effects Production Company that services the Film, TV, Advertising, Theatre and Event industries that works closely with your creative and production team. Watch their reel.
With over 25 years experience, they offer the skills and expertise to provide all your physical and mechanical effects needs including explosions and pyrotechnics, stunt and camera rigs, product rigs, fire and flames, rain and wind, smoke and atmospherics, stunt and soft props, breakaways, and mould and model making.
Services include special effects design, shot planning, storyboarding, budgeting, scheduling and preproduction, and of course, the shoot, show or event.
DTFX maintains a wide range of special effects gear including rain and wetdown rigs, pyrotechnics and explosives gear, snow makers, smoke machines, fans and wind machines, air cannons and rams, flame and fire rigs, and all the relevant safety and support gear.
Jobs can be tailor made in a well-equipped 200sqm workshop, along with a fully equipped on set truck for full service.Backed up by a wide pool of the most experienced and talented special effects personnel in the country on call.
Some past projects include international productions The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions, Stealth and Superman Returns, Australian films including The Square, Jindabyne, Japanese Story, Bootmen, Risk and He Died with a Felafel in his Hand, the Sydney 2000 Olympics Closing Ceremony and 2006 Asian Games, and theatrical productions including The Lieutenant of Inishmore and the Threepenny Opera for Belvoir Theatre. We were awarded "Best Achievement in Special Effects" at the 2004 St Kilda Film Festival for "Fuel", directed by Nash Edgerton.
